Marquee Wedding

Emma and Ray’s Marquee Wedding

The couple wanted a unique venue, so my challenge was to search for something slightly unusual. The wedding venue that I discovered was new and exclusive to Opulence; as it was the first time a wedding had taken place there.

My first proposal was a bespoke marquee on stunning grounds within Liverpool and they loved it. Once the marquee was designed, the interior and venue styling began. Emma wanted white and turquoise colour scheme to match the bridesmaid’s dresses. We had white draped lining in the marquee, white carpet, chivari chairs and a wooden dancefloor. To stay on budget I upcycled the bridesmaid’s bouquets added fresh gypsophila to form the centre pieces. To create a rustic theme, I paired the flowers with segment of tree trunk, a hessian table runner and lots of candles.

I gathered some insight from guests who attended the wedding abroad so I could incorporate moments  the Dominican wedding to the party. Our mobile bar was installed with matching accessories ensuring the Dominican themed drinks were on hand. In the bar area we had a screen with photos reflecting on the wedding day, along with poseur tables so guests could stand and watch.

Guests were greeted with a Dominican themed cocktail and the photographer was on hand to take beautiful shots of their arrival. We had an outdoor BBQ with freshly cooked food for guests to enjoy. Emma and Ray wanted to create a party atmosphere, so after the first dance and cutting of the cake, the lights were dimmed, and the partying commenced.
